.:: Our ideas

Cassubian VA was founded in 2006. At that time it passed through our Human Resources hundreds of applications. Positively examined 32 of them, but some had to leave. Why?

 

For five years we have developed a certain quality level. These are not empty words, because we require from each other, a serious approach to every aspect of our work - from pre-flight briefing to the style of forum posts. It wouled just look stupid to face someone, knowing that he acts strangely. This approach means that as an employer, I expect a lot, because I do not want to be feared then that the "pilot" will bring danger to the passengers, the machine and expose themselves or will affect the good name of the company. We have a "red line" with the Polish controllers, so that every case of an obvious lack of training comes to us very quickly.

 

.:: Who are we looking for?

We can offer a lot - from ourselves, by website and professional booking and assessment system, advanced logistics systems (positioning, financial system, etc.), virtual and real events, etc. We are looking primarily for responsible people for whom doing something anyhow not let them fall asleep. Paradoxically, age does not matter here - we had a mature pilots, who later turned out to be "kids", which wasted a lot of time and goodwill. So before you start thinking about working for Cassubian VA - think what we really want. If you are playing only for fun - look elsewhere - there are many airlines, where the "fun" is the most important. In our "fun" is when you do what you should be doing, as you would in the real world. This allows us to meet over a glass of juice (depending on age Wink ) and  talk about anything. About life as well.

 

.:: Requirements

Our requirements are for us, as well as for you.

  • Responsibilitythere's no free ride - we don't waste a minute of time to someone who then will act like windy child. Think twice if you have this quality - be honest with yourself an us.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn - no one is born with all the knowledge. If you are a novice pilot you should appreciate the fact that through the three-step test you will have a chance to verify your knowledge, find the gaps and fine-tune the details. Satisfaction guaranteed. If you are an experienced pilot, flew for the other carriers - show us passing the qualification procedure, that we are dealing with serious ambitions of captain, and we give you a chance to realize them.
  • Personality - we expect that you're an interesting person, you have interests and passions, that you will share with us. Some of us play the guitar, some build cockpits and cabins, others are R-NAV Spooters and so on. Together we create a harmonious group of people, each of which has something to say. If you can, and want to enrich our society with your remarkable personality - come on ahead.
  • Hardworking - our strategic documents provide that every pilot is required to comply with a minimum of one flight every two weeks. But that is not here after all about - well you can see who has the right attitude, who puts efforts to build  co-operation in the company and its image. We had many "reformers" who even couldn't begin to fly well, and already wanted to introduce different types of revolutions - to change the painting, company name, or create new units within it. The strength of our line is continuous, often tedious daily work - carrying out well-prepared and carried flights. This is partly the cause why most controllers in Poland and Europe don't get an attack of hysteria, when the CSB callsign shows on their radar screen.
  • Creativity - you have revealed yourself as a responsible, trained, interested and hardworking pilot. Show us now that you have new ideas. You and you write essays and publish in a monthly CSB Newsletter! You have a good organizer? Prepare the event - you can be sure, that we will come with everything that can flight! You have the soul of an artist and photoshop has no secrets from you? Suggest a new painting on the occasion of EURO2012! In one word - use the shills that you have and share them with others.

 

.:: Ok. Now, what should I know?

Right question. Note that we distinguish tell apart the requirements and the level of training. These are two different things. The specific issues on the first level (I-CE), which entitles pilot to perform domestic routes:

 

Theory

  • correct communiation with ATCs,
  • reading and interpretation of information from charts,
  • ability to keep given altitude,
  • ability to perform ILS and VOR/DME approach,
  • ability to keep given direction,
  • navigation based on radio beacons (VOR and NDB),
  • holding and how to initiate it,
  • knowledge about SID and STAR procedures,
  • VFR and IFR,
  • flight altitude and flight level,
  • QNH, VOR, NDB, ILS, transponder (squawk),
  • ability to run FSINN or SQUAWKBOX,
  • ability to create right flight plan,
  • RVSM
  • go around, missed approach.

 

Practice:

  • The flight on agreed route with the internal examiner (who is active controller PL-VACC),
  • Neither departure nor arrival airport cannot be EPWA (flight is carried out in Polish airspace).

 

Knowledge of internal procedures:

Exam consists of 10 random questions asked by the examiner, including the issues described in Cassubian Virtual Airlines ® Regulations & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP - available after registration). You answer to 70% of them to pass the exam.

 

Pilot permissions

  • Pilot who has Trainee degree (I-CE) is allowed to flight only in polish airspace (EPWW FIR), excluding EPWA airport (does not apply to ATCs having priviledges to min. EPWA_GND).
  • After at least 50h of flights for our company and one gold award for flying and positive evaluation from Flight Assessment Commision (KKL), pilot gets permission to flight to EPWA airport.
  • Available aircrafts on Trainee degree:
    - Pilatus PC-12,
    - ATR 72-500,
    and after first 50h of flight:
    - Fokker 70,
    - Embraer 145LR VIP.
    With no permission to leave EPWW.

.:: And what will I get in return?

.:: Summary

Do we expect too much? In our view, not - look at the virtual world of aviation through the prism of our five-year history and achievements of a group of people who share something more than a common callsign. We believe that the fly as Cassubian is an honor and pleasure, where in addition to the joys of virtual flying, there are quite real relations and friendship. We want to give you a reason to be proud of belonging to a really good airline, which is valued not only for human knowledge and skills, but also for what we can give of ourselves to others.
